Hard workin', broke and tired. Who are you? (and don't say I Phantom) :D
Holy crow. I've been /away for quite a while it seems. I got somewhat tired of people asking when I'll write again. Mainly snow who doesn't say much all day but somehow manages to slip that in to the conversation ;) Speaking of which...
To teh snow, hope you're having a nice vacation and travel home safe and sound... and don't lose your shirt.
I suppose I'm supposed to come up with some stellar reason why I haven't written in here for so long. I see cobwebs in the corners of the html, which gives me the shivers. I'll just give the very very, ultra-condensed version. Feel free to add a can of water after the next paragraph and embellish as you see fit.
The Trip.
I went to a little island in Europe for 3 weeks. There were many sheep nibbling at the grass and every where you went it looked nice. As an american, I wasn't used to that. I kept thinking to myself.... one of these car rides, we're going to end up in the ghetto. Every place has a ghetto... right? Nope. Not a one. I felt like I was the ghetto there, with my accent and lack of bow staff skills, etc. I had an amazingly wonderful time and was dazzled by all the people that were NICE even in airports and on the streets. You people over there wonder why americans are so fscked up.... Hey, now I have a theory. Things here just aren't pretty and easy to look at like everything over there is. Sure, we have Best Buy and cheap games and money worth a half what yours is worth... I thought the state I reside in was beautiful. I have always talked it up during my entire existence on this planet. However, when I returned to my state,.... it looked ugly. It felt ugly.
Anyway, I had a great time. I am fairly certain that forcing myself to say goodbye, walk through the gate and then on to a plane that would take me from there... was the single most difficult thing I have ever had to do in my life. So yeah, I haven't really felt like talking about how great it was ;D
On a side note- which could also provide some reassurance that I just didn't care to update because I'm laughing it up somewhere... upon my return to the ugly realm, I had realized that I kind of messed up that whole life thing you're really supposed to keep track of. I spent all my money, some money that wasn't even mine and then some. So, to fix things up I have been working 2 jobs and grabbed a semi-all the time freelance gig. I never knew what tired really meant before these last few weeks.
Enough of the soup. On to dessert!
Hey, something nice happened this week folks. Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman was released on Tuesday. I picked up my beautiful copy this afternoon and I'm about to sit on my bum and read it. I actually don't work tonight which is an odd pleasure ^_^ I'll be sure to report if it's any good... but I really doubt I won't like it. That dude could write a haiku about pizza flavored Combos on a piece of toilet paper and I'd love it.
Oh yeah music, look out for Arctic Monkeys. I got a hold of their EP Beneath The Boardwalk, and I love it haha. It's pure pop-a-rific fun but I think these guys could put out a really nice album some day. Let's see... oh, Clap Your Hands and say Yeah. No don't do it... it's the name of a band! You silly people. It's an indie band, who if I had to describe.... Imagine a young David Byrne singing with the Shins at a party that had Radiohead serving snacks and the Strokes serving drinks while the Cure played Twister in the other room. Yeah, I know you're all pouncing the intarwebs to find it haha! I'll save you a trip since I'm good like that.
And...I think it's really funny I hear this now. But... I got a beautiful album last night. This song is for you babe...Get home in one piece... and it sucks not having you around. P.S. I have the strangest musical karma ever ;)
Take it easy out there everyone... One day at a time... Enjoy what ya got and smile at a sheep if you're lucky enough to see one.
one love.

YEAH! You're back, and the trip did go well. I was kinda scared to write/talk to ya when I knew you had returned, fearing the worst. Get me all nervous like that. Shame on you! btw, I think your state is pretty. Of course, my state is not.
I'm not sure if I'd like Europe...there's something "real" about the ghetto.
Can I post ya some mp3s? Since you're being all music sharing and the like?

Yeahy! Naku's home ^^
*/em does the super happy taru dance in his head*
Believe me, there are some getto type places in the UK too. I live in one, and Stu's right it's a lot more real than Sheepville. I'm just glad you didn't see it, 'cause it would not have been much of a holiday if you did.
Anyways, glad to see your not a bug squish on the atlantic. Hope all goes well and you get to sleep more ^^

Glad it worked out. When are you coming back more permanently then? Huh huh huh? I'm sure the sheep miss you.
I do have to concur though, thank god we hid our ghettos under the carpet before you came.
