So I finally went to Blockbuster....
turned out I didn't owe my soul, just $6.00. Go me :D So I rented a couple things. Mainly being this "Shawn of teh dead" everyone has their panties in a bunch over. OK. Started watching... dude from Spaced so good, yay happy.
Midway through, I get angst and stop it and start talking to snow. Here is how the convo went:
me: ok I'm stopping this, not feeling it :)
snow: but it's so good :o give it a chance
me: dude, wtf... ok that is the chick from spaced. Are there really only TWO actors in the UK or what? Because that's lame :)
snow: OK you DO know it was made by the Spaced™ dude and that is all his friends?
me: oh I..... OH. /eddie izzard. OK I guess I should watch this when I'm not looking around at my entire life in shambles and actually give it a chance? I will... me bad.
And so... long story short, my life is in shambles :D Literally, like ripping stuff off the walls having to move out in a couple days and leave my job after almost 7 years. Don't ask :D But the point is this: I will give this movie another chance when my life has settled a bit. The main other point is that, I may not write here as frequently as usual until I am moved and such. I'll try to keep this updated. Try to post neat things as I see them, try to sound like I have something neat to say... etc.
Take care everyone, and if you have someone in the next room... go hug them :)
one love

I fought the law and I won
Good morning folks! Well, I had an exciting evening last night. This is going to be a FFXI related rant, so I'll try to explain as best I can what was going on for the non-players. When you reach level 66, you can go through a final test to be able to get to level 75. It's Genkai V and it's a battle with an old dude that's job specific. So depending on which job you go as, there is a different way to fight him. As some know, I'm a white mage so basically he was going to kick my tail and I had to cure myself and keep myself alive.
I was pretty nervous for this battle. I didn't bother getting any of the armor recommended by the sites below except the staff. The stuff I have is uber and I could buy half of Vana'diel with what it cost me. I usually have snow on iChat/iSight so we can talk. Well, he watched me do this battle and little did I know he was documenting the conversation. I had a good laugh when I finally was able to look over at the Powerbook and see what was typed. Let's just say, I'm not the most elegant lady while in a big battle. Here's how it went down:
Snow: this
Snow: http://mysterytour.web.infoseek.co.jp/ffxi/us/tips/genkai5.htm
Snow: start now
Naku: headphones out.. need to concentrate
Naku: well no, one in one out
Naku: so I can yell for your help if need be
Naku: going
***the fight actually begins here and little did I know, he was typing out the conversation we had during the battle***
Snow: [Naku] echo drops
Snow: [Naku] hahaaaaaaaaa! suckaaah!
**See fighting Maat as a WHM, you basically have to just cure yourself, not attack him. Since if you play the game, you'd know a white mage can poke an adversary for a thousand years and it still wouldn't die. He kept casting 'silence' preventing me from casting cures on myself. Echo drops cure that. And yes I yell out loud when fighting something scary.**
Snow: [snowchyld] papilion!
Snow: [Naku] sshh shh shh
Snow: [Naku] he's a bitch, shut up honey
**I'm also not the most loving, soft spoken person when I'm getting my ass handed to me on a dish >.>; oops me bad**
Snow: [Naku] oooooooh one inch punch, what in the hell was that o_O
Snow: [snowchyld] he's a MNK
Snow: [Naku] hush
Snow: [Naku] go go go go oh god -_-
Snow: * Naku shakes her head
Snow: [Naku] ergh -_-
**It started taking a turn for the worst here. I used up almost all the medicines I brought along. MP was getting terribly low and that old biatch was still hitting me with all his MNK juju. Luckily I had set up OMGINEEDTOSAVEMYARSEQUICKBBQIT macros and pulled them off before certain death and failure.**
Snow: [Naku] Oh my god!
Snow: [Naku] good job...
**please note here that I was telling MYSELF I was doing a good job hahaha. I laughed about that for a while after. I probably should take myself out for a nice dinner and some dancing too.**
Snow: [Naku] there is no way, i did not bring enough stuff
Snow: [Naku] ergh!
Snow: [Naku] babe, i'm not gonna make it -_-;
**I really did think all was lost. Luckily a couple more cures and that pansy went down like taru from Norg (please also note I can't explain this taru analogy as it wouldn't be work friendly haha! Kidding, kidding'ish.**
Snow: * Naku cheers
Snow: [Naku] I DID IT!!!
**I really did cheer, a \o/ arms in the air cheer**
Snow: u > *
So, now I can get my character to level 75. I was a bit over a minute over the record for that battle. 8 minutes 38 seconds. Still, I just have to say, Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
AND I was just informed that Vlad who rawks was in cahoots with snow and came up with this:

so cute :')

>_< grah!
Of course the first thing I did this morning was go to apple and see if the trailer is up. NOPE. Went to find out who I have to slay for this vulgar display of lies and torture. Seems word on the street is (now as of 30 seconds ago) this:

can't gorramn wait :D
:D Tomorrow Apple.com will have an exclusive Serenity trailer in small, medium, large, and fullscreen format.
Writes Joss,
Hey guys.
I'm here on the official site, so that can only mean one thing: somebody finally told me my password! (Again.) It probably also means that I have some big-ass announcement or other. Well tops on the announcement list is this: after months of intensive yoga, i can finally touch my toes! (They feel round and bunion-y.)
But there's more! I'm talkin' movie news, peeps, so no more drumroll: Trailer. Serenity. Tuesday.
Yeah, kids, the haps is hap'nin', and it runs thus: EXCLUSIVELY on Apple movie trailers (and linked through this site as well of course) will be a small, medium, large or FULLSCREEN trailer for Serenity the major motion movie. Yeah, THE trailer. And the following Friday said trailer hits theaters. Which theaters? Until I get confirmation you'll have to guess, but I'm betting you can.
Now, here's a word of warning: this trailer ain't shy. If you're looking to live totally spoiler-free, know that there's plenty of key dialogue and images running through this bad boy. It's pretty tasty, though, and it doesn't give everything away. But close scrutiny will definitely learn you much of what's to come. (Anakin TOTALLY goes evil.) It's a nice piece to while away the time till September, and hopefully should intrigue th' peeps that don't have coats of brown.
The only thing more exciting than y'all finally seeing this was showing it to Nathan. Like a schoolboy giggled he.
Bye-ee!
Joss "You can't take my toes from me" Whedon.
Sweeeeeet! I actually broke out the Firefly DVDs this weekend. That's what made me search for movie stuff this morning. This made my day :')

f34r teh unipope!
So my sister calls me today at work and says my niece drew her a unicorn at school yesterday. She knew I'd appreciate it since I had an ever so slight fascination with unicorns as a wee naku. I used to draw them all the time.
She starts laughing and I ask her to send it to me. She faxed it over and I burst out laughing when I saw it laying on the fax machine. I scanned it and when my snowy saw it.. he says: "omg that's so cute.... looks like the pope! >.>;"
I had tears in my eyes laughing at that point. Now the "unipope" is hanging on my wall at my desk to be admired by who ever is lucky enough to see the real thing. ;D

Enjoy the weekend everyone! I know I will ^_^

Happy Birthday Frank! and also, today's favorite site is THIS!! Oh what a lovely thing to waste 5 minutes on :D Enjoy!

Hey everyone. I've spoken about my pal who does hair feats of magic. Last time it was black and red. Well, this time I go over and she says, we need to get rid of the red. It has been quite a long time. So we tried but it's kinda hard to get red out. So now it's like light red with white streaks. Or as the late Mitch Hedberg said, "I got my hair highlighted.. because some strands are more important than others".
Kinda hard to tell since the lighting in my room is sheety.
Oh, and since I'm considered a g33k according to society I figured I better replace the glasses I lost so long ago. Now I can attend meetings and give the impression that I'm much smarter than I actually am. In fact the image below.. it looks like I'm figuring out some intense problem when in fact all I'm doing is looking at the update bars on FFXI! Foooooooled you!

I put some album baby reviews on LG Check 'em out :D

Yep... it finally happened
Aing converted snowy to the darkside. Spoke to zee Vlad this morning who came up with THIS in honor of my fallen soldier. Snow turned his cam and on the monitor I saw his female elf character and Aing's naked male elf dancing around in a seductive fashion that made me fear all is lost.
There is a dark wave of sorrow in Windurst.

Big trouble in Pig Sty Alley!
Last night I cracked open a cold cherry coke, smiled at teh snowy and settled in to watch Kung Fu Hustle. I have to say it was one of the best 'date' movies I've ever seen! It had amazing fight scenes, parts that made me laugh out loud, romance, did I mention the fight scenes? Some were so well done I actually got the chills.
I suggest everyone go watch this one way or another. It's seriously worth it. It's got a ranking right up there with BTiLC for me, which I thought was impossible. I'm going to watch it again I think.
Things have been busybusybusy. Other stuff to check out, the new NIN - With Teeth. Pretty decent, starts off a bit meh but toward the end of the album it picks up and after a couple listens it really grows on you. I'm surprised. Apparently Trent has been listening to the LCD soundsystem label (I forget the name) a lot and it really shows in some of the tracks. "Only" being one of them. Give it a listen :)
Back to work!

omgwtfbbq IT update!!
Ok, I went to the place to Fedex the bunneh I built to snow. Mission accomplished! Then whilst there I waltzed over to this odd grocery store to pick up a few things. I almost fell over dead.... on the shelf I see Jaffa Cakes! :D
-Bless me father for I have sinned, I bought two boxes of jaffa cakes today.
-Ok, that'll be two hail mary's and two hello dolly's.
I never thought I'd find them here. Oh how I missed that orangey bit in the middle :') I'm worried my boss will punch me in the face and steal them from me though. Anyway, now I have a reminder of HFT2005 in cookie form!

Build 'em a bunneh or somethin'
Good morning few people that read this. Let's see what the word on the street is this week... The training is going well, I'm happy to say. If there is any curiosity as to what it entails, it goes something like this:
Morning: 30 minutes of drills and lifting (alternating days so I don't break anything)
Evening: 20 minute run (alternating days, one day with 5 lb. weights on legs/one day free of weight.. it hurts I assure you :D). Come inside, couple swigs of Gatorade™ to get blood sugars evened out.. then 40-60 minutes of drills, cardio, drills, etc.
Throughout the day: I try to get up from my desk several times a day and move around. At home, I have a pull up bar that I do one pull up every time I enter/exit the room until I can't anymore.
This is every day but Friday and Sunday. It's a sure-fire way to become a badass extremely fast. Working like that means you have to be careful about fuel. So ya should eat little good things through the day. Oh, and I tried Silk™ soy yogurt yesterday for the first time. I was terrified as I've got some strange fear of soy but it's supposed to be uber so I'm working through it. I stared at the first spoonful for about 5 minutes with a quivering lip. I just said fsck it.. I can spit it out if it tastes of arse. *munch* That stuff isn't bad at all!
It was pretty silly over Easter weekend. My bro-in-law who reads this on occasion asked me how the training was going. I said something along the lines of "Yeah, I'm getting really good at Tekken 5" hahaha. I was kidding, but no one else around got the joke. ^_^;
Let's see what else... Last night I got this urge to build something. I wanted to make something ghei-cute for snow since I miss 'em and sheet. So I put on a white lab coat and some safety goggles and took out all my building materials. Created blueprints to figure out the mechanism of what I had planned.
Unfortunately, my sewing machine was being a big, fat biatch so I had to do this by hand. The pattern created, the construction began. I started at approx. 8:30pm and by 12:30pm I had this:

Hahahaha. I do think ghei-cute was mos-def achieved. This was fun to make. I will make more as gifts for neat people like my fam and friend's GF's (that read paper thingies). :D It's interesting how much stuff you get done when you don't play games all night. Kinda like I raised my RL clothcrafting skillz! w0rd.
Little bit until the weekend.. hang in there folks!

I better start leveling my DRG...
Stumbled across these today and they look like they would go famously with the rest of my collection. I'm definitely keeping my eyes peeled in shops for them. Especially this one holding the ball of do0m:

*goes back to staring at the clock in hopes it will magically be time to go home*

bunneh, bunneh, bunneh, bunneh
Ok, so you all know about my time change fiasco? Well it seems my Mom was rather shocked by my showing up to Easter din din an hour early (which I never do as I'm not the best at getting up fake early). However, not one person inquired about my unorthodox arrival so I still at this point had no clue about the clocks and the UK horsepoop. Well, when Mom reads my blog she almost died of laughter... realizing once again why our family is so fun. Because we're all nuts hahaha!
I had her on the phone talking about it and laughing this week when she finally realized I hadn't turned over a new leaf and changed my 'make it to the occasion with possibly 2 minutes to spare' lifestyle and had just been a moron. :D I'm sure she shared it with all her office buddies (who are funny and cool as well and send me an ample amount of dirty jokes via email every week) about my unfortunate chain of events.
So today she sends me this email with an image attached. It's two baby bunnies in cawfee mugs. Terribly cute and you want to bite your monitor. It's a pleasant reminder about changing the clocks this weekend, but I know why she really sent it hahahaha. In retaliation I used my ninja Illustrator/Photoshop skillz to make her something a little more appropriate. This is for you Mom.... love you!

Enjoy the weekend everyone :')
